 Several significant shifts have occurred since the dawn of 21st century. These changes result from almost digitalization, and technologies therefore this era is called as “Digital Era”. Digital Age affects sectors such as healthcare, education and production etc. positively or negatively. In this post, I am going to mention about the influences of Digital Age on English Language teaching and learning. Let’s start to examine our topic.

  Thanks to the Digital Age, English learning and teaching are getting easier every passing day. Benefiting from technology can contribute a lot to English teachers and students. For example, English teachers can apply technological applications ( kahoot, quizlet, classdojo, etc.) while making their lessons. Thus, they can make their students’ four skills better (Speaking, Listening, Writing, Reading) by fastening their learning process. Owing to such reasons, integrating technology into the class carries great importance in terms of both English teachers and students.

  As far as I understand the 21^st century, this century is a digital era that brings us various changes and provides different advantages such as improving my field (English Language Teaching and learning). Therefore, I really appreciate the 21^st century era as a pre-service English teacher. It has several benefits for me.
